Severn Archers started as father and son passionate about archery and spending time together. In 1984 Bill Middleton founded Severn Archers and opened the doors to anyone wanting to join him and his son Greig.
Now Severn Archers has members of all ages, abilities and archery disciplines. It's a friendly relaxed atmosphere with a bunch of people that just love to shoot.
We can provide everything you need to get started so there’s no need to spend lots of money on equipment, in fact we suggest you don’t buy anything until you've learnt the basics and got a feel for your own style.
The club coaches have a wealth of experience and are always on hand to help you develop, whether you are new to archery or an accomplished archer just wanting a few pointers.
You will be shooting with the club where Paralympic Bronze and Silver Medallist Mel Clarke trained, with her coach Greig Middleton – head coach and one of the founding members of Severn Archers.
As well as the shooting, club members get together several times a year for social activities away from the shooting line. Bowling and Go-Karting, to name just a couple of activities we get up to, also there are the fun shoots at Easter, Halloween and Christmas - the Christmas meal is always a real giggle too.
We invite anyone to try their hand at archery and hope to see you at the club very soon.
We are part of the Archery GB ontarget programme. Click on the Community and Young People badges below for more information.
